# PLY — Curve lounge
2026-09-13 · Individual design and product study

## Brief
Keep the existing PLY furniture brand. Design for people choosing a lounge chair for a compact living room, reading corner, or design studio. The primary task is to understand one chair, inspect its construction, compare two veneers and an optional cushion, then save a configuration or draft a consultation request. This is a fictional product and example pricing, not a manufacturer specification or a functioning store.

## getdesign.md reference and translation
Read the actual local Apple DESIGN.md from getdesign.md / VoltAgent:
- ../../design-references/getdesign/apple.DESIGN.md
- https://getdesign.md/apple/design-md

Use the source's product-first photographic hierarchy, quiet controls, clearly selected configuration states, generous space around an object, and a separately directed mobile image. These are independent analyses, not Apple's official specification. Do not copy SF Pro, the blue CTA, alternating black product tiles, Apple lockups or all of its token values. Read the local frontend design skill and LOGO_DESIGN.md as well.

The resulting PLY composition is an architectural furniture feature with a full-width room photograph, a compact product caption, a separate technical configurator and a material detail spread. It is not the MIN STUDIO typographic portfolio or the earlier shared journal renderer.

## Tokens and composition
Colors: chalk #f8f8f3 (page), stone #e7e7de (3D stage), forest #30392f (text/action), soft olive #d5d8bf (selected detail), slate #656c60 (secondary text), line #c9cdc3 (functional separators).
Type: Albert Sans variable, 400/500/600 for Latin product names and UI; SUIT variable for Korean. Hero 72/74 desktop and 43/46 mobile, product title 42/46, Korean section heading 32/44, body 16/28, controls 14/21. Custom uppercase PLY path wordmark.
Composition:
[PLY Collection / Construction / Saved]
[ architectural room photo, one actual Curve chair ]
[ Curve lounge bent plywood, a quiet seat]
[ short statement the reason for its curve ]
[ interactive large 3D chair | veneer and cushion ]
[ rotate / side / joint detail | price and save ]
[ exploded construction | seven shell layers ]
[ material close-up care and repair narrative ]
[ consultation draft concise footer ]

Hero photography and the 3D viewer must show the same authored chair. Build the model first, then generate the room image using its render as reference. Rounded corners belong to curved furniture and control hit areas, not a repeated card grid. Keep text aligned to the image edges. Mobile uses its own crop/composition with the whole chair visible.

## Critique before implementation
Reject a serif-on-beige boutique formula, repeated three-card product stories, reused unrelated chair photos, and a rotating generic decorative object. The distinctive moment is seeing a continuous shell separate from its two laminated side frames. The narrative is derived from those actual parts; no invented designer biography, awards, environmental certifications or sales results.

## 3D specification
Native Three.js model, measured in meters; a continuous curved seat/back shell with seven visible laminate layers, two shaped nine-layer side frames, two cross rails, brass fasteners, felt feet, an optional moss seat/back cushion with seams. One geometry source produces the viewer and its reference stills.
- Birch and walnut: coherent face grain, separate plywood edge colors, matte varnish.
- Rotating and keyboard control; front/side/joint camera positions and reset.
- Exploded slider separates shell, frames, rails and fasteners; labels explain actual parts.
- Optional cushion changes actual meshes and the derived example price.
- No automatic endless spinning. Render on interaction/resize; stop offscreen and when the tab is hidden.
- Lazy load WebGL after explicit interaction; retain a high-quality still and working configuration controls if WebGL is unavailable.
- Respect reduced motion, cap DPR, dispose resources, and keep vertical page scrolling usable on touch devices.

## Review and release
Dedicated bespoke/ source and dedicated build. 1440/1024/768/390/320px screenshots; inspect product coherence, wood/edge detail, wordmark and image crops. Browser checks must cover selection-to-model changes, exploded state, keyboard camera, persistent saved configurations, removal and corrupted storage, consultation draft and focus return, WebGL fallback, reduced motion and no asset errors. Passing checks does not certify visual quality.
Publish only PLY and its hub entry after this review, preserving all other published site files. The remaining studies and standalone app/ERP templates are still unfinished.
